About Amethyst

Amethyst (Katela or Jamunia) is a purple variety of natural quartz. In Vedic tradition it is considered an upratna of Blue Sapphire (Neelam) and is linked with Shani – often chosen by those who want Saturn's steadiness in a gentle, affordable form. The shade varies from light lilac to deep violet, and natural variation between beads is normal.
