RudraGram Collection

The word Shri is not a prefix. It is one of Maa Lakshmi's own names.

The Shri Mahalaxmi Yantra Locket from RudraGram carries the yantra of Maa Mahalakshmi — the goddess of wealth, abundance and wellbeing in every sense the word holds. Her beej mantra is "Shreem", the sound from which the name Shri itself comes, and her yantra is the geometric form through which that energy is traditionally invoked.

Worn close to the body or kept where a household keeps its wealth, it is among the most widely followed prosperity practices in India.

What is the Shri Mahalaxmi Yantra?

A yantra is a sacred geometric form — a precise arrangement of lines and syllables that tradition holds to be a deity's energy expressed as pattern rather than as image.

The Mahalakshmi Yantra belongs to the goddess of Shri — prosperity in the complete sense. In tradition, Lakshmi is not only money. She is:

  • Dhan — wealth, income and financial stability
  • Samriddhi — abundance, growth and enough-ness
  • Saubhagya — good fortune and wellbeing
  • Aishwarya — dignity, grace and standing

She is worshipped in eight forms — the Ashta Lakshmi — governing wealth, grain, courage, progeny, victory, knowledge, success and prosperity. The yantra is worn to invoke all of it, not only the part that arrives in a bank account.

Who It Is For

  • Shop owners, traders and small business owners
  • Households seeking prosperity and stability
  • Anyone rebuilding after a financially difficult phase
  • People working to build savings rather than chase quick gains
  • Families who keep a Lakshmi-Ganesh sthan at home or at the business
  • Anyone looking for a meaningful Diwali or Dhanteras gift
  • Devotees of Maa Lakshmi who keep Friday vrats

How to Wear or Keep It

  1. Choose an auspicious day — Friday, the day of Maa Lakshmi, is the day to begin. Dhanteras, Diwali, Sharad Purnima and Akshaya Tritiya are considered the most auspicious of all.
  2. Cleanse the locket with clean water in the morning, wipe it dry, and place it before your deity or altar for a short while.
  3. Invoke Ganesha first — in tradition Lord Ganesha is always worshipped before Lakshmi, so that obstacles clear before prosperity settles. Chant "Om Gam Ganapataye Namah" before the Lakshmi mantra.
  4. Energize it with mantra — chant the Lakshmi beej mantra 108 times before wearing it for the first time. Every RudraGram yantra is already energized through prana pratishtha by our Pandit Ji, so this is an added personal step.
  5. Wear it or place it — around the neck on a red thread or chain, or kept in the cash box, locker, almirah, shop counter or pooja sthan. Both practices are widely followed; many families keep it where the household's wealth is kept.

Chanting & Practice

Lakshmi Beej Mantra: "Om Shreem Mahalakshmyai Namah"

Mahalakshmi Mantra:

"Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalalaye Prasida Prasida, Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Mahalakshmyai Namah"

Ganesha Mantra (chanted first): "Om Gam Ganapataye Namah"

Performing Lakshmi puja on Fridays, lighting a diya at the entrance at dusk, and reciting the Shri Suktam are the practices most commonly kept alongside this yantra. Many households also keep the locket at the altar through Diwali and perform the annual Lakshmi puja with it in place.

Care & Maintenance

  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after use.
  • Remove it before swimming, a long bath, or applying perfume or deodorant, so the metal does not tarnish.
  • Avoid harsh cleaning agents on the engraved surface — the fineness of the yantra lines matters, and abrasive polishing wears them down.
  • If kept in a cash box or locker, keep it wrapped in a clean red cloth.
  • Treat it as a sacred object rather than as jewellery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Shri Mahalaxmi Yantra Locket? It is a wearable locket carrying the yantra of Maa Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and abundance. It is traditionally worn or kept for prosperity, financial stability and the wellbeing of a household or business.

What is the difference between a yantra and a Rudraksha? A Rudraksha is a natural seed, worn for the energy tradition attributes to the bead itself. A yantra is a precise geometric form, energized through mantra, worn for the energy attributed to the pattern. Many people keep both.

Can I wear it along with a 7 Mukhi Rudraksha? Yes, and the two belong together. The 7 Mukhi is Maa Mahalakshmi's Rudraksha and this is her yantra, so they invoke the same energy from two directions. Several of our kavachs are built around the 7 Mukhi bead.

Should I wear it or keep it in the cash box? Both are widely followed. Many families keep it where the household's wealth is kept — the locker, almirah or cash box — while others wear it daily. Choose whichever fits your practice.

Does the yantra need to be energized? Yes. A yantra is traditionally considered inert until prana pratishtha is performed. Every yantra we supply is energized through proper mantra rituals by our Pandit Ji before dispatch.

Why is Ganesha invoked before Lakshmi? Because obstacles must clear before prosperity can settle and stay. In every Indian household the two are worshipped together, and always in that order — which is why the Ganesha mantra is chanted first when beginning with this yantra.

Will this bring me money? Please read it as a practice, not a promise. It is a traditional devotional item kept for focus, gratitude and steadiness in money matters — and we will not tell you it produces income. Anyone who does is selling you something else.

If I am in financial difficulty, should I buy this? Only if it does not cost you something you need. The chanting and the Friday puja cost nothing and can be kept on their own. Please never borrow money to buy a remedy.

On which day should I start? Friday, the day of Maa Lakshmi. Dhanteras, Diwali, Sharad Purnima and Akshaya Tritiya are the most auspicious days of all.

Can it be kept at a shop or office? Yes, very commonly. It is kept at the counter, near the cash box, or at the Lakshmi-Ganesh sthan on the premises.

Can women wear this locket? Yes. There are no restrictions of gender or age.

Is it suitable as a gift? It is among the most popular gifts at Diwali and Dhanteras, for a housewarming, and at the opening of a new shop or business.

Are there any rules to follow? Keep it clean, remove it before bathing where convenient, and treat it as a sacred object rather than an ornament. If stored, keep it wrapped in clean red cloth.

What is your shipping and return policy for this product? We offer free shipping across India (4–5 business days); international shipping is calculated at checkout. As this is an energized sacred item, returns are accepted only in case of damage, defect, or wrong item, within 7 days — see our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy for full details.
