Who is Kuber?

Kuber is the lord of wealth in Hindu tradition — treasurer of the devas, king of the Yakshas, and the Dikpal of the North, guardian of the northern direction. In Vastu, north is Kuber's own direction, which is why lockers, cash boxes and valuables are traditionally kept there.

He is also a devotee of Lord Shiva, and tradition holds that his wealth came through Shiva's grace rather than his own ambition — a detail worth remembering, since Kuber is not worshipped for greed but for stewardship.

How to Wear or Place It
