Three beads, three protectors. The Evil Eye Raksha Kavach from RudraGram brings together the 9 Mukhi Rudraksha of Maa Durga, the 10 Mukhi Rudraksha of Lord Vishnu, and the 11 Mukhi Rudraksha of Lord Hanuman — the three deities most called upon in Indian households when protection is needed. It is worn as a traditional nazar kavach, for those who feel that jealousy, ill will or unexplained misfortune has begun to follow them.

Every bead in this kavach is 100% original and lab certified, sourced directly from Nepal — the origin most valued for larger beads with deep, clearly separated mukhi lines — in keeping with the same commitment to genuine, unadulterated materials found across our Rudraksha and Kavach collections.

Why This Is a Deity Kavach, Not a Planetary One

Most kavachs pair two beads to strengthen one planet and pacify another. This one works differently.

The 10 Mukhi and 11 Mukhi carry no single ruling planet. The 10 Mukhi is believed to pacify the influence of all nine grahas at once and is traditionally described as Dashdik Raksha — protection from all ten directions. The 11 Mukhi is the bead of the Ekadash Rudra, associated with Lord Hanuman, worn for courage and protection from sudden harm. The 9 Mukhi, governed by Ketu, is the bead of Maa Durga, who removes fear itself.

So rather than correcting one planet, this kavach is worn to build a shield around the wearer from every side — which is why it suits people who cannot point to a single cause, only to a run of things going wrong.

Why People Wear the Evil Eye Raksha Kavach

  • 🧿 Protection from nazar, the evil eye and the effects of jealousy
  • 🔱 The courage of Maa Durga against fear and hostility
  • 🛡️ The all-direction shield of Lord Vishnu through the 10 Mukhi
  • 🚩 The strength of Lord Hanuman against sudden harm and accidents
  • 👶 Traditionally kept for children, newborns and new mothers
  • 🏪 Kept at shops and business premises with heavy public footfall
  • 🏠 Guard the home against negative energy and ill intentions
  • ✈️ Worn for safety while travelling or living away from home

The Three Beads Inside

9 Mukhi Rudraksha (Ketu) — the bead of Maa Durga, its nine faces associated with the Navdurga. Traditionally worn for courage, fearlessness and protection from negative energy.

10 Mukhi Rudraksha (Lord Vishnu) — the bead of Janardhan. It carries no single ruling planet and is instead believed to pacify all nine grahas, traditionally worn as a complete shield against negativity, disputes and harm from any direction.

11 Mukhi Rudraksha (Lord Hanuman) — the bead of the Ekadash Rudra, the eleven forms of Rudra. Traditionally worn for courage, fearlessness, protection from sudden misfortune, and steadiness of mind and body.

About the Kavach

Since Rudraksha is a natural seed, every bead varies slightly in size, colour, surface texture and mukhi line formation. These variations are a sign of authenticity, not a defect, and the kavach you receive may look slightly different from the photographs shown.

How to Wear the Evil Eye Raksha Kavach

  1. Choose an auspicious day — Tuesday, associated with both Maa Durga and Lord Hanuman, is most commonly recommended. Saturday is also considered suitable, and Navratri is regarded as especially auspicious.
  2. Cleanse the kavach with clean water or unboiled milk in the morning, wipe it dry, and place it before your deity or altar for a short while.
  3. Energize it with mantra — chant the deity mantras 108 times before wearing it for the first time. Every RudraGram kavach is already purified and energized by our Pandit Ji, so this is an added personal step.
  4. Wear it correctly — it is traditionally worn around the neck on a red thread, or in a silver cap on a chain. Many families instead keep it at the main entrance of the house, in the pooja room, or at the shop counter so it protects the whole space.
  5. For young children, families usually keep it in the child's room or pooja space rather than around the neck.

Chanting & Practice

10 Mukhi Rudraksha Mantra: "Om Hreem Namah" Durga Mantra: "Om Dum Durgayei Namah" Vishnu Mantra: "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" Hanuman Mantra: "Om Han Hanumate Namah"

Reciting the Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesdays and Saturdays is the practice most closely associated with protection from nazar and sudden harm. Many families also recite the Durga Chalisa during Navratri and keep the kavach in the pooja space through the nine days.

Care & Maintenance

  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after use; avoid soaps, perfumes and chemicals.
  • Apply a light coat of olive or mustard oil once every few months so the beads do not dry out or crack.
  • Avoid prolonged water exposure — remove it before swimming or a long bath where convenient.
  • Do not let others wear your kavach; Rudraksha is traditionally treated as a personal item.
  • Store in a clean cloth pouch or in your pooja space when not being worn.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Evil Eye Raksha Kavach? It is a three-bead Rudraksha combination made with 9 Mukhi, 10 Mukhi and 11 Mukhi beads — the beads of Maa Durga, Lord Vishnu and Lord Hanuman. It is traditionally worn as a nazar kavach for protection from the evil eye, jealousy and negative energy.

Why these three mukhis specifically? Each is a protective bead in its own right. The 9 Mukhi brings the courage of Maa Durga, the 10 Mukhi is traditionally described as a shield from all ten directions, and the 11 Mukhi carries the strength of Lord Hanuman against sudden harm. Together they form a complete protective combination.

Why do two of these beads have no ruling planet? The 10 Mukhi and 11 Mukhi are among the few Rudraksha beads not assigned to a single graha. The 10 Mukhi is believed to pacify all nine planets, while the 11 Mukhi is associated with the eleven Rudras. This is why they are worn for general protection rather than as a remedy for one planet.

Can I keep it at home or at my shop instead of wearing it? Yes, and many families prefer this. It is commonly kept at the main entrance, in the pooja room, at the shop counter or near the cash box so it protects the whole space rather than one person.

Can children wear it? It is traditionally kept for children as a nazar remedy, but for young children families usually keep it in the child's room or pooja space rather than around the neck.

How is this different from the Shani-Vishnu Raksha Kavach? Both contain the 10 Mukhi shield. The Shani-Vishnu Raksha Kavach pairs it with the 7 Mukhi, making it a Saturn remedy as well — suited to someone in Sade Sati or facing losses and disputes. This kavach has no Saturn bead; it is purely protective, suited to someone who feels targeted by nazar and ill will without a clear planetary cause.

How is this different from the Shakti Kavach? The Shakti Kavach pairs Maa Durga's 9 Mukhi with Maa Lakshmi's 7 Mukhi, combining courage with prosperity. This kavach pairs the 9 Mukhi with two more protective beads instead, making it the stronger choice when protection alone is the concern.

Where are the beads sourced from? All beads are sourced from Nepal, generally preferred for their larger size and deeper, clearly separated mukhi lines compared to the smaller Java variety.

On which day should I start wearing it? Tuesday is most commonly recommended, as it is associated with both Maa Durga and Lord Hanuman. Saturday is also suitable, and Navratri is considered especially auspicious.

Is the kavach energized before dispatch? Yes, every kavach is purified and energized through proper mantra rituals by our Pandit Ji before it reaches you.

Can I wear it along with my other Rudraksha or bracelet? Yes, it is commonly worn with other Rudraksha items. Since this is already a three-bead combination, keep any additional items minimal rather than stacking too many at once.

Will the kavach look exactly like the photo? Since Rudraksha is a natural product, slight differences in size, shade and mukhi lines are normal and actually confirm authenticity.

Are there any rules to follow while wearing it? Some traditions suggest removing Rudraksha while bathing, sleeping or during non-vegetarian meals. Follow what suits your personal practice and family tradition.

Is this suitable as a gift? Yes, it is commonly gifted to new parents, to families moving into a new home, and at the opening of a new shop or business.

What is your shipping and return policy for this product? We offer free shipping across India (4–5 business days); international shipping is calculated at checkout.
